The 'Plastic Free Ocean' program in conjunction with the National Environment Day and World Clean-up Day, was held for the first time in Tioman Island, Malaysia on September 16 and 17, 2019 and was joined by YB Mrs Isnaraissah Munirah Majlis, Deputy Minister of MESTECC. The program was a collaboration between MESTECC, Pahang State Marine and Resource Management Branch, Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), Alam Flora, Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), Head of Village & Tekek villagers and does not forget NGOs in particular Trash Hero Malaysia and Reef Check Malaysia.
